Hi, I’m Laurie—an educator, content creator, and the heart behind Laurie’s Learning Tree. With over 30 years of experience as a classroom teacher, I’m passionate about helping young learners become confident readers through engaging, evidence-based instruction.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Education from Indiana University Southeast (1999) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University (1993). My digital resources and YouTube videos are thoughtfully designed using the Science of Reading, combining structured literacy with playful, purposeful learning.
